The Scarlet Sages are all Haverford College alumni who have celebrated their 50th Reunion, and no condition or physical, financial, or intellectual capacity shall deny them elevation to such honorable standing.
The group was started by Mather Lippincott '43. Scarlet Sages exist to enjoy the good life begun at Haverford, and shall join with classmates and Sages from neighboring institutions to further this pursuit of happiness.
The affairs and activities of the Scarlet Sages shall be managed by a Planning Committee made up of “Venerable Sages” with the intent to have representative members from each class from the 50th Reunion and on. The Planning Committee shall meet several times a year and be chaired by a “Supreme Sage” elected by the Committee for a term not to exceed more than three years.
During Alumni Weekend each year, the College will hold a Saturday Scarlet Sages Luncheon for all Scarlet Sages. To nominate a classmate or oneself to the Committee, please contact Margaret Gindhart, Alumni Relations Office, 610-896-1329 or Email: email@example.com.

Wednesday, March 19, 2014Luncheon at the Union League with special guest Dan Weiss, the new President of Haverford College, as speaker.
