As a volunteer, you can:

  • Join Haverford's official LinkedIn Career Connections Group
  • Sponsor an extern or intern
  • Offer informational interviews to current students, or request one with fellow alumni
  • Share career-related advice through the CCPA blog
  • Recruit for or find job and internship opportunities via CareerConnect

A Message from the CCPA:

We are reaching out to Haverford alumni and parents to help the Center for Career & Professional Advising (CCPA) connect students with opportunities in the U.S. and abroad.

Haverford alumni and parents like you have helped launch students' careers by hiring interns in San Francisco, the UK and India; hosting externs for job shadows in Washington DC, Chicago, andSweden; and helping students connect with post-graduate jobs in New York, Los Angeles, China, Mexico, and many other locations across the U.S. and the world. Not surprisingly, students know the Haverford network is one of the best resources for gathering advice and finding jobs and internships.

Are you interested in helping Haverford students connect with internships and jobs? Here are some easy ways for you to help with this CCPA initiative:
1) When there are openings for internships or post-graduation opportunities at your organization, send job postings directly to Laura Reiter ( so she can enter them into Haverford's online recruiting system, Handshake. Or feel free to create a Handshake employer account and post the position directly for Haverford or the Tri-College Recruiting Consortium.

2) If you aren't in a position to hire, but your organization (or another organization you know well) might be interested in hiring a Ford, virtually introduce a recruiter from the organization to Laura Reiter ( who can talk with recruiters about the benefits of hiring a Ford and work with them to develop a tailored recruiting program to fit your organization's needs.

The CCPA offers a comprehensive career education and recruiting program that includes alumni career chats by Skype, virtual interview days, and a great deal more. You are one of the most valued career development resources for current students, and we greatly appreciate your consideration of this request. If you have any questions or would like to discuss ways to get more involved with our work in the Center for Career & Professional Advising, please fill out the CCPA's Alumni Engagement Form or contact us at We look forward to hearing from you!
